How does it work? | |||||
There's a myriad of reasons that make ordering your frame from fineartframed.ie the smart choice. You get a product of supreme quality, delivered quickly and you'll manage to save money in the process. It's a breeze choosing your design online. Especially when compared to the hours you'd have to spend at a local frame shop. To make creating your frame even easier we give you the option to upload a picture of the item you're framing. This makes visualising your finished frame effortless. |
|||||
You can upload a photo to have it printed, mounted & Framed, or you can upload a photo to assist with Vizualization and help you pick the right frame and mat for your photo or artwork. Full vizualization of your art/photo along with mount and frame enables you to use colour matching like a professional. This is where you take the colours from the image, the colour of the mount, colour and design of the frame and even the wall colour. Not only will your finished piece look better but if it is an original, following our colour matching techniques will greatly add to its value.
What if you don't have a digital image of the Artwork you wish to Frame? This is easily solved. You do not need a perfect picture of your artwork as you only need the image to be good enough for colour matching so you can use your mobile phone and just make sure that you get the whole artwork in the picture even if that includes bits of the table/floor/wall or old frame as you can crop these out when you are loading the image as shown below

photo of artwork taken with a mobile phone with bits of background showing. Notice that it is not even aligned properly but that does not matter. What matters is the colours are showing | You can easily crop out the background when uploading photo onto the system | The image after cropping. It is now ready to be mounted and framed. If you follow the framing tips and colour matching techniques you will have the best possible display for your artwork

When you load your photo, you will be brought to the framing studio where you can try out our 400 frames and mounts on your artwork. I have matched on one colour here. I have chosen a frame whose colour matches the grey background in the painting. I could have chosen another colour from the painting for the inside and outside mount but instead I gave it a double white mount which is a way of making your art piece look more expensive and substantial.
If you just want to choose a frame without loading an image for vizuaization purposes, it is even even easier and that's one of the reasons over 20,000 people have done it before. You simply insert the exact size of the picture you're framing. We will then make the frame to fit this picture, perfectly. |

Now that's the 'complicated' part done, let's get those creative juices flowing for the next few parts!
The Mount, known in America as a Matt, is a card insert that lies between the frame and the picture to create a visual breathing space between the two. They're available in a variety of colours, ranging from our most popular Iced White mount to more intriguing and bold colours. A mount gives you a further opportunity, in addition to your frame, to make your design more unique. We'll give you the chance to change the size of the mount borders too! Go for extra wide mount borders to create a gallery style look as below.

Now it's time to choose the most important part of your design, the frame. You can quickly filter our entire range of handmade wood mouldings by colour, shape and width. Our unique frame photography and Truelife visualisation technology will show you exactly how the final frame will appear on your wall in real time, so you'll know exactly what you're ordering before we've even started your custom build. To illustrate what we mean by colour matching and visualization, in the example below we are using the same frame and the same artwork image but each composition has a different mount colour. Some double mounts. Some Single Mounts. Somme of them are excellent. Some not so good. That's why we encourate you to load an image of your artwork and get the best out of the system. You can't do this at your local frame shop. In the example below, i have used the same inner and outer mount and the same image. See the difference just changing the frame makes. Let loose your creative spirit and enjoy yourself!
