Frames For Artists: Frames and Mounts for Water Colours
Welcome to Our Section for Water Colour Artists. This section of our site has been developed to cater for the framing requirements of Water Colour Artists. It is a work in progress and any comments would be greatly appreciated. We are particularly interested in suggestions about additional mount and frames sizes which are of interest to Artists. The selection of frames offered below is based on the most popular frames used at the 2013 Water Colour Society of Ireland Annual Exhibition.
Ordering Frames. Frames are depicted below with Mount and Print. Please note that prints and mounts are not included with your purchase of frames. All frames have sizes 8" x 10", 8" x 12", A4, 10" x 12", 11" X 14", 16" x 20", A3, 16" x 20", 20" x 24". the 27x42mm Limed Ivory also offers sizes 11" x 15" and 23" x 30" to cater for 15" x 22" Artwork. We would hope to be able to make these sizes available for all frames in due course. These frames were also available in our custom framing section where you can order any size you like. However, the prices below are approximately 50% of the cost of Custom Frames. To justify the contract rate for these frames, some are sold in pack quantities of 3, 4 and 6.
Ordering Mounts. Mounts are available for artwork sizes 5" x 7", 7" x 9", 9" x 12", 10" x 14", 11" x 15", 12" x 16", 15" x 22", A3, A3+, A4, A5. Please Note that there is a 1/4" Industry Standard overlap on each side. For example a 5" x 7" mount has an aperture size of 4.5" x 6.5". If you want a different aperture size, specify THE EXACT APERTURE size required in the COMMENTS SECTION of the CHECKOUT PAGE. The mount below is an off-white textured mount very popular with Water Colour Artists available as a Single or a Double Mount. It is the Arqadia 8065 (Hayseed). If you want any other mount colour, order the mount below with the sizes you require and in the COMMENTS section of the CHECKOUT PAGE, insert the colours that you would prefer from the table of available mount colours below or you might find what you are looking for in our Standard Mounts Section. If you want a mount to fit any other artwork size, please let us know. sales@fineartframed.ie
All our mount boards are conservation quality and acid free.
